My childcare style reflects my personality style. I am a kind and patient care giver who is there to understand, observe, and guide even the youngest child on a journey towards independence. Working with children and parents has been an inspiration to me for over 20 years, and I believe that this enthusiasm shows in my personality and work. I respond well to a challenge and love the opportunity to enjoy the rewards of hard work and dedication. I have earned a reputation as being kind, honest, and a thoughtful communicator.

What activities do you like to do with children:

Any and all activities that support the needs of the children during their current stage of development. Young children learn from being both; energetic and ready to absorb the world around them, and then also from learning how to slow down and enjoy the quiet times in their daily routine. I love creating opportunities for both types of learning.

Why are you interested in working as a nanny?

I am from the school of thought that, "It takes a village to raise a child." I thoroughly enjoy the team effort in observing the child's development and working with the parents to meet the needs of the child. Also, I am looking for a long term commitment to create structure, consistency, and a real sense of community with the family I work with.

What qualities are important in a nanny?

I believe it is important for the adults in a child's life to be respectful of the child while he/she is learning how to express his/her wants and needs. I bring a unique blend of tenacity, humor, flexibility, and other motivating qualities to the nanny profession.

Additional comments:

I am looking to share my experience and passion for working with children with you and your family. I am looking for a community minded family to be willing to allow me to work with them along with my son, Cody. Cody attends Community Montessori from 8:00 to 2:40 Monday through Friday, which is a wonderful program that teaches community and compassion for others. Cody and I are a good team and he is used to and enjoys working with other children.
